Quinoa/Black Bean Burgers

2      cups cooked black beans, drained
1/2   cup cooked Quinoa cooked in chicken stock
1/2   cup bread crumbs or ground oatmeal (I sometimes use both and or panko)
1/4   cup minced yellow or orange bell pepper
1/4   cup finely grated carrots
2      Tablespoons minced onions
1-2   cloves of minced garlic
11/2  teaspoon ground cumin
1/2    teaspoon sea salt
1       teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1-2    eggs, beaten
3       Tablespoons olive oil
Note: You can certainly use any amount of spices that best suit your taste.

Roughly mash the beans with a fork into a paste like mixture, mix in all the remaining ingredients (excluding the oil).  Form into 5 patties.  Heat oil in a skillet on medium heat, cook patties approximately 3 minutes on each side or until patty is heated through.  I served these on a whole wheat hamburger bun with all the condiments; however, your options are endless.  Enjoy   : )
